You can't tell by the picture, but it was a scorcher out in that sun!
Piles and piles of letters! All sizes, shapes, and colors!
Rows, 'n rows of boots!
Give me a hand!! bah, ha, ha!
Where do they get all this stuff!
Here's the Junk Gypsies World Headquarters!
It's their new store location in Round Top.
Junk Gypsy Amie
And her sister Jolie
The Junk Gypsies have done very well in the junky business!
It's tradition to have your photo taken in
the Junk Gypsy 'outhouse'!
After junkin' all day, we still had strength
for the JUNK O RAMA PROM!
Everybody dresses up in vintage prom outfits and
dance and drink the night away!
Some people get pretty creative with their outfits!
And some get a little WILD!
The band is usually from the area and
everybody has a good ol' time! YEE HAW!
HA! Look at all the buckshot holes! Almost every one of
those cupolas we saw were full of 'em!
Our favorite - 'DEAD PEOPLE'S STUFF'!
Their slogan is "You Die, We Buy"!
Saw several vintage travel trailers - some vendors used them to stay in,
or fixed them up as dressing rooms, and we even saw some all decked out FOR SALE!
Some vendors were very colorful and creative!
Toward the end of the week, this is what the traffic was lookin' like!
Sure glad we were there earlier in the week! We got to see just about everything
and it was much less crowded!
We didn't cover all the venues - there's just no way - it's WAY TOO BIG! After 4 days of trekking through acres of fields of junk and dragging our hot, tired bodies around for miles and miles, we'd had enough! GASP! Can't believe I actually admitted that! It was over-whelming, but I wouldn't have missed it for anything!
This is the cute cabin we stayed in at
The Live Oak State Park
near Fayettville.
This is the view from our cabin!
We enjoyed beautiful sunsets at the end of our junkin' day!
Along with a much needed and very relaxing glass of wine!
Are you exhausted! Do you feel like you've just been on the LONGEST JUNK TRIP!! Well, it was fun to share our escapades at the Antique Week in Texas with y'all! Maybe it has inspired you to do the trip next spring! Same place - different stuff!
HAPPY TRAILS, MY FRIENDS!
